Book Club – Next Meeting is July 12th, 2pm at Annette Gallagher's home. Come join us, all are welcome.
Wednesday Letters by Jason Wright has been selected for the next book. Paperback, only 288 pages. Jack and Laurel Cooper are rare souls who have led quiet but exceptional lives. After a 39-year marriage during which they raised a family and fulfilled their dream of operating a bed & breakfast in Virginia's Shenandoah Valley, the two die in each other's arms. Throughout their time on earth, they opened up their home and hearts and touched countless lives, but they've left behind a complicated legacy that their children must now decipher. While sorting through her parents' belongings, Samanatha discovers a hidden trove of letters that Jack had apparently written to Laurel every Wednesday up until the night they passed. Sam and her brothers, Matthew and Malcom, eagerly devour them. Like the day-to-day business of marriage itself, their father's letters are sometimes goofy, sometimes serious, and sometimes banal, but each of the three Cooper children is at a crossroads, and reading the letters - and uncovering their parents' shocking secret - transforms them in surprising ways. Interweaving an account of the days approaching the funeral with Jack's guileless letters, The Wednesday Letters is as delightful to read as it is inspiring.

Delco RRC Summer Picnic – Are you interested in having a Delco RRC Summer Picnic? We want to know. Most importantly, someone will need to step up and take the lead on this. If you think you might have the energy and time to be the go-to person on this then drop the club a line. You don't have to participate in any of the games or events but we want you to attend. Meet other club members, relax and enjoy yourself in a run-free environment. Remember this is tentative at this time but we would appreciate your feedback. A survey of three possible dates has been posted at Surveymonkey.com. Click Here to take survey. You can also email me directly at this EMAIL ADDRESS with suggestions or your responses.

Women's Distance Festival - NEW! IMPROVED!site www.WomensDistanceFestival.com. Also new: Buddy Up - a new way to encourage women to come to the training runs (there’ll be someone to buddy with) and to enter the race with a friend. There’s also a Buddy Up discount if two people sign up together by Sept. 20 (2 entries for $25 instead of $30). And you can still see pictures from 2008...and find race results at Run the Day.

Message Board - The club's Message Board is up and running. Please use responsibly but also use it to get your info out to the world. Have suggestions for the club? Email Bill at the Club's email address.
